NED Awards 2010
The Non-Executive Director Awards is a corporate awards ceremony
conceived by Peel Hunt in 2005. We have collaborated with the awards over
the last 5 years.
Our initial challenge was turn this new and innovative award into a
prestigious, respected honour amongst industry professionals.
Our work with the NED Awards team was first to define and develop the
identity of the awards, from website design to content strategies. From here
we were able to market the award to the professional community, organizing
cross media across campaigns (web, email, print, advertising, videos,
photography).
In our recent collaboration with the Awards, we have been able to deepen this
strategy, understanding the needs and relevance of the Awards of different
members of the business community. We developed an innovative tailored
managed marketing system to communicating the NED Awards message
accordingly.
In 2010, we expanded on the firm foundations we had set up, we saw a year
on year doubling of click through rates. Nominations reached a record level of
119, up by 57% on the previous year, making this years awards the most
successful yet. Web visits increased by 85% and email click throughs reached
DMA benchmarks.
Below are the targets all of which were met
1. To bring click through rates inline with DMA benchmarks of 11% from the
existing rate of 6% to increase unique visitors to the website
2. Expand the contact database by purchasing new data to develop an email marketing acquisition strategy inline with the DMA benchmark of 5%
3. Improve the short form nomination rate of 9% to 12% to raise
awareness of brand NED, improve usability, content and email marketing
